Organize your menu items with global and local options (PART 1)
Options allow customers to customize their orders while helping you manage menu variations in one place, so you can offer more choices without creating duplicate menu items.
GLOBAL VS LOCAL OPTIONS
- Global Options help you scale your menu faster by reusing option sets across multiple items.
- Local Options give you flexibility to add unique choices to individual items.
EXAMPLES
- Global Options: All iced coffee drinks can share the same Size options (Small, Medium, Large) and Sugar Level options (0%, 50%, 100%) without recreating them for every item.
- Local Options: A specific drink can have an exclusive option like Add Espresso Shot or Choose Roast that isn't used elsewhere.
